Meet Your Teacher
Hello, I'm delighted to invite you to a serene corner of the creative world. As a retired elementary school teacher, I've always had a passion for teaching and nurturing confidence and creativity. Since 2014, the Zentangle® Method has been my refuge. Just as it has done for so many others, tangling has boosted my artistic confidence and brought a sense of tranquility in the process. Eager to share the benefits of this mindful creative practice, I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2022. It brings me great joy to witness the creative spark that is ignited in others when they discover that drawing structured patterns can lead to both a state of serenity and the creation of mesmerizing images. I invite you to embark on a creative adventure where art meets mindfulness.
Tangled Library
Join the Tangled Trails: Art for Tranquility Library and get free access to a growing library of tangle pattern step-out pattern and receive announcements of new and upcoming classes. The library contains short video tutorials showing each step needed to create delightful patterns. Each video gives you the skills and knowledge necessary to take the tangles in your own unique direction. Certified Zentangle teacher, Nicoline KD, is constantly adding new videos to this growing library.

We are proud to offer in-person classes for artists of all levels. Our brightly lit, waterfront studio is located minutes from Baddeck and the Cabot Trail. Review our course offerings and book your time slot now. We recommend that students reserve their spots ahead of time as seats can fill up quickly. I keep looking back at my creation from this afternoon’s class and am enjoying it anew. I was reminded that I took the Zentangle class initially because of the promise that one didn’t need artistic ability but found that my very first experience gave me the confidence and curiosity to try other artistic pursuits, like drawing and watercolour as well as more Zentangle classes.
